The Payment Remittance Specialist position is responsible for the day-to-day duties supporting Payment Operations. This role is responsible for adherence to SLAs, remitting payments on structured settlements and assisting other teams within Payment Operations, when needed. With a high degree of initiative, independence, accuracy and a sense of urgency, you will be responsible for remitting payments and reviewing settlement information to ensure payment criteria is met. You may be asked to assist with other projects as well.

This position will regularly require attention to detail as well as application of policies and procedures set in place within the Payment Operations Department’s processes. Good judgment and the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively are of primary importance for this position. Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.


  • Remit payments on structured settlements
  • Resolve escalations and inquiries creatively and timely, within the team and with other business units
  • Ability to work within multiple systems and programs
  • Accept accountability for quality and accuracy of all payments processed
  • Ability to effectively manage daily queue and workload
  • Adhere to team/department/company procedures and make recommendations for improvements
  • Contribute to individual/team/department goals
  • Work directly with teammates, leaders and business units to accomplish goals
  • Assist other teams if business needs dictate
  • Enter data accurately and ensure consistent business practices are applied throughout the life of the settlement


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the Customer Service, Quality Control or Business Operations environment or related industry
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to think critically
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Proficient knowledge of PC skills in the Microsoft product line including: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
