As the Manager, Mortgage Payment Processing, you will help launch Lendage, our new line of business in the mortgage industry. You will be responsible for the payments operational areas including disbursement of funds to borrowers and creditors, and repayment of loans. You will be responsible for recruitment of the team, developing SOPs & identifying areas for process improvement. This role will report directly to the Director, Payment Processing.


  • Develop, review and recommend overall operational systems and procedures for the mortgage lending function, while continually seeking out process improvement to improve departmental productivity & quality of service
  • Manage, monitor, and follow up with agents to ensure Standard Operating Procedure is executed
  • Routine review of line work to determine the root cause of error(s) and provide coaching for related underwriter/manager to eliminate error(s). Report trending to senior management to address in training and communications
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production reports related to Fair Lending Act and other federal requirements
  • Assess the existing processes to recommend, design and implement a vastly improved strategy for payment operations and funds settlement while managing volume in excess of $7 billion.
  • Establish good working relationships with key stakeholders in Finance, Payment Operations & Capital Markets Teams
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist & guide agents in solving work problems
  • Ensure operations complies with all company and regulatory policies and procedures and maintain broad knowledge and thorough understanding of applicable federal, state and agency regulations and guidelines
  • Develop, maintain & manage an engaged team


  • 4+ years’ industry experience leading payment and deposit processing functions in a fast based, growing environment
  • 3+ years’ leading a staff with demonstrated success of creating a highly engaged, productive workforce
  • Excellent understanding of the mortgage lending function including processing, closing and funding loans in accordance to Investors and Agency guidelines including federal and State required practices
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Preferred knowledge of FNMA, FHA, GNMA and VA housing loans
  • BA/BS degree is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite Products, CRM, & Mortgage Servicing Platforms (Encompass)
